Montecristo Open
Habanos Sa has created the four formats of Montecristo Open in 2009,a new line for connoisseurs who are looking for an introduction into the world of cigars or previously preferred premium cigars from other countries of origin.
To get into the brand, we recommend the Eagle, a Robusto Extra with a ring gauge of 54 and a length of 150. The impressive format presents the style of the new line, mild and creamy, with a pleasant, fruity flavor, that are paired with notes of hay and nut.
Friends of classical Robustos we recommend the Master which is also very mild and creamy. She knows how to convince with caramel, leathery and ultimately powerful aromas during smoke.
The Regata is aimed at lovers of Torpedo formats. The Petit Pyramid has a 46-ring gauge and a length of 134 mm, flavorful blends harmoniously into the line-in. With a small 38mm ring gauge and 110 mm length, the Junior is a short Panetela which is great for quick enjoyment on the patio.
All four sizes are also available in a handy aluminum tubo.
About Montecristo Open
In 1935, Alonso Menéndez had the ambitious goal to set a benchmark in the Cuban cigar world of Habanos with the Montecristo brand. Only the best tobaccos were used for Montecristo and the equipment inside the boxes was of the highest standards. In no time, Montecristo became the best seller and is now the most famous and popular Habanos brand in the world.
Since 2009, the Montecristo Open sets new standards! Habanos S.A. has created four new formats that line. The tobacco blends are much milder than that the classical Montecristo series. The leaf tobacco come from the plantations of the Vuelta Abajo region, home of the best in the world. According to the Cuban tradition, all four formats are manufactured "totalmente a mano" in the H. Upmann factory in Havana. Montecristo Open is especially suitable for beginners in the world of Habanos lovers or milder premium cigars from the Caribbean. But for lovers of Habanos Montecristo Open expanded the range of possibilities.
