Whenever I come across compound brand names like Nicaroma for the first time, I imagine the moment when the marketing manager proudly presented the name to the client. And then, of course, the client's reaction – in this case, it must have been positive, since this new cigar brand from Villiger actually ended up with this creatively assembled name.

Nicaroma: Exquisite Cigars from Nicaragua

Following Villiger’s closer cooperation with Tabacalera Joya de Nicaragua in 2021, it made perfect sense for these Nicaraguan cigars to be produced there as well. “There” in this case refers to the Tabacalera Villiger de Nicaragua, which was built on the grounds of Joya in Estelí. Except for the Indonesian binder, all tobaccos come from the Central American country, bringing together the characteristic fire of volcano-rich Nicaragua in a single smoke.

The filler made of Seco, Ligero, and Viso delivers complex notes of hay, coffee, and bread. Combined with the fine Nicaraguan wrapper, this results in a full-bodied experience that opens with a seductive interplay of cocoa and woody accents. As it progresses, the strength increases only slightly, while the cigar leans more toward spiciness and roasted aromas, along with some floral notes.
