Since 1919, Wolfertz has been a manufacturer of high-quality cigar cutters and smoking accessories for the cigar connoisseur, based in Solingen—a city whose name is, not without reason, a protected trademark for quality products in the cutlery industry. Wolfertz lives up to this reputation and produced its items primarily by hand for over 100 years. Modern manufacturing methods have, of course, also found their way into the company, but skilled craftsmen still play a major role in production.

Wolfertz covered all categories of cigar cutters, ranging from guillotines and scissors to double-blade cutters and the “modern version,” the so-called punch.

At the end of 2025, Thorsten Wolfertz discontinued the production of his cigar cutters. These high-quality products “Made in Germany” accompanied us for decades in the cigar industry and opened outstanding cigars for us aficionados on many occasions. It is a pity that another chapter of German manufacturing and craftsmanship has come to an end.
