Woodworm Mimmo
The man "behind" Romeo Pipe is Romeo Domenico, known throughout the pipe world as "Mimmo". Above all, pipe makers know his name, because Mimmo is actually the wood supplier for all well-known freehand pipe makers worldwide. In his briar mill, briar roots are cut, selected and divided into qualities. His father ran this business for decades and Mimmo grew up with Bruyère.

Of course, it makes sense to work as a pipe maker yourself. Because most likely nobody has a better choice of wood. However, the first attempts were sobering, even if Mimmo was told that he obviously had talent. So he turned to Teddy Knudsen, who had been buying wood from him for years. Teddy Knudsen is indisputably one of the best pipe makers in the world, whose pipes fetch top prices. So he could actually learn from a true master.
Finally to the public
For years, Mimmo has carried his pipes around, seeking opinions, striving to improve and working on himself. In 2019 the time had come and he went public with his pipes. At the Intertabac in Dortmund we were able to convince ourselves of the incredibly high quality of his work and are now the only German dealer to offer his pipes.
