Haton Liqueur Wine Ratafia Champenois (0,7 l / 18 % vol)

The Ratafia Champenois from Haton is a traditional liqueur wine from Champagne, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. By stopping fermentation through the addition of alcohol (mutage), the natural grape sweetness is preserved.

The wine is then aged for around two years in wooden barrels, during which it develops its amber hue as well as additional aromatic depth. On the palate, the Ratafia is smooth, full-bodied, and balanced in sweetness. Notes of grapes, fruits, honey, and delicate spice define the profile, accompanied by a pleasant warmth on the finish.

Ratafia Champenois: Perfect Pairing with a Cigar

Best served slightly chilled at 8–10 °C. Ideal as an aperitif or alongside rich dishes such as blue cheese and desserts – also particularly exciting as a companion to medium to full-bodied cigars with a sweet-spicy aromatic profile.
