CO Pipes pipe tobaccos combine distinctive tobacco blends with the unique design language of pipe makers Kelvin and Toto. Rather than following a uniform flavor profile, the range extends from natural Virginia Flake to smoky, spicy blends with Latakia. This gives experienced pipe smokers a variety of styles to discover. The Bullet and The Swan were created with Hans Wiedemann of HU Tobacco and reflect the concept behind the distinctive CO Pipes Freehands: harmonious basic shapes with details that deliberately break with convention.

CO Pipes Pipe Tobacco Developed with Experience

For The Bullet and The Swan, Kelvin and Toto worked with Hans Wiedemann of HU Tobacco. Other blends were developed together with Thomas Nitsche of Kopp Tobaccos. The result is a range of blends in which tobacco varieties, cuts and processing methods are carefully coordinated. Virginia, Perique, Burley, Latakia and Black Cavendish are used in different roles, giving each pipe tobacco in the range a clearly distinctive character of its own.

From Virginia Flake to Latakia: The CO Pipes Blends

The Bullet combines Virginia and Perique in a Ready-Rubbed cut with Brasil and Havanna tobacco; a light casing adds a piquant, lively accent. The Hihat centers on Maryland Burley in Cube Cut and Tanzania Burley, which together with a touch of Black Cavendish create a chocolatey, creamy aroma. Those who prefer natural Virginia tobaccos will find The Pencil, a cold-pressed Flake made predominantly from Red and Brown Virginia, complemented by lighter Virginia and a subtle spiciness. The Swan combines African and American Virginias with distinctly noticeable Latakia and Perique; a small portion of Black Cavendish rounds out the smoky profile with natural sweetness. The CO Pipes range thus covers several classic styles of pipe tobacco without losing its individual approach.
