Exclusiv pipe tobacco

Exclusiv is a series of aromatic pipe tobaccos with light to medium strength. It comes from the Bavarian tobacco producer Poeschl, which is particularly known for its snuff. In this segment, it has a market share of over 60 per cent throughout Germany and exports to numerous countries.

A global player, in other words - yet the company, which is over a hundred years old, is still family-owned and is now run by the fourth generation. However, Poeschl did not start producing pipe tobacco until after the war. The company benefited from the fact that pipes were becoming more and more fashionable. Originally, it was probably intellectual student circles who started using this accessory to express their spiritual closeness to the widely read philosopher and passionate pipe smoker Jean-Paul Sartre. But the new medium of television also exemplified this habit - some people certainly still remember scenes from old political programmes in which people discussed smoking and drinking whisky and the participants in the discussion sometimes disappeared behind a cloud of smoke.

In the meantime, at least since the death of Helmut Schmidt (former German cancellor), smoking on TV has become taboo. Fortunately, the Exclusiv pipe tobaccos have remained with us. So you can simply put it in the pipe without loosening it up beforehand.
