Robert McConnell Heritage

The Robert McConnell brand was founded in London in 1848 and of course used to produce itself. In 1989, Michael Kohlhase, then head of the Rellingen-based company Kohlhase & Kopp, acquired the brand rights and successfully continued the time-honoured tobacco tradition. Today, McConnell stands for very high-quality and natural or near-natural tobaccos that were created for pipe smokers who are looking for something special.

In the summer of 2018, it was announced that Dunhill pipe tobaccos would no longer be produced, as the brand owner Dunhill wanted to withdraw completely from the tobacco sector. Thus, the licensee BAT (British American Tobacco) then had to withdraw from this market completely. It is somehow dramatic that, in the opinion of the owners, the name Dunhill should not, for heaven's sake, be associated with "evil" tobacco. The Dunhill pipes and accessories will continue to exist, and the Dunhill cigars are also being phased out completely!

On this occasion, McConnell then introduced a completely new series with a total of 18 (!) tobaccos that are supposed to be "imitated" from the discontinued Dunhills. The blenders at Kohlhase are highly respected in the industry and know exactly what they are doing. We are therefore sure that numerous fans of the "old" blends will also find what they are looking for here at the Robert McConnells! The master blenders went back to the old recipes, which also gave birth to the name of the series "Heritage".
