De Olifant Emotion Vintage Sumatra

With a visit to the De Olifant factory, you are immediately transported back to the founding year of 1826. The facade of the building is still intact, and even the old machines are still in operation.

The new masterpiece from De Olifant took 7 years of development before the new series could be presented: The exclusive and limited De Olifant Vintage Sumatra series, available in the Knakje, Matelieff, Corona, and Corona Panatella formats, is finally here! For the wrapper of the Vintage series, rare Sumatra sand leaves were selected.

"We have always followed the maxim that an excellent cigar needs a special wrapper." (Thomas Klaphake)

Only a small part of the Sumatra seed harvest, which possesses the highest quality characteristics, is chosen as a Vintage wrapper and separated for aging. After 7 years of aging, during which the tobacco matured in rolled-up bales (ballen fermentation), the tobacco has developed the quality needed to produce a limited Vintage Sumatra line. At this stage, the wrapper has reached its flavor peak. The herbal notes of the Sumatra sand wrapper give the cigars their characteristic spiciness, which is particularly pronounced and flavorful in the Vintage edition. The filler blend of these cigar series harmonizes perfectly with the wrapper tobacco.

The new De Olifant Vintage Sumatra Limited also stands out visually from the classic Sumatra series with a stylishly designed belly band and an elegant case with embossed logo. The cigars are additionally stored in exquisite cedarwood boxes.
