Dona Flor Cigars

The Dona Flor Mata Fina cigars are handmade, 100% by hand, in the Bahia region, Reconcavo Baiano. Carefully selected Mata Fina and Mata Norte tobacco leaves give the Dona Flor long fillers their characteristic flavor.

Mata Fina, one of the most expensive tobaccos worldwide, lends its name to this Brazilian brand. The wrapper is also made of a dark Mata Fina leaf, which imparts a fine, medium-bodied aroma of hay, forest floor, moss, and wood to the formats in this line.

The master blender Arturo Toraño and the master roller Felix Menendez, both renowned figures in the tobacco world, are responsible for the opulent portfolio of the Dona Flor Mata Fina cigar series. The "MF" in the respective cigar's name stands for the Mata Fina wrapper, distinguishing it from the Dona Flor cigars with Connecticut wrappers, which are also from Brazil.

Cigar merchant Sebastian Gollasch, formerly from Passau and now based in Berlin, is responsible for the import and nationwide distribution of this cigar brand. He has not revealed to us why some prices were originally "very crooked." However, his cigars are now available at "straight" prices as well.
