Lampert Ocean Breeze

The Ocean Breeze series by Lampert Zigarren began with just one format, the Robusto Grande, and has since been expanded to three different vitolas due to its strong reception. Each cigar bears the signature of company founder Stefan Lampert, who comes from Austria and has registered his company in Liechtenstein. Lampert is regarded as one of the most exciting European boutique manufacturers of recent years. With a clear concept and a keen eye for quality, he has pursued the goal of creating distinctive cigar lines that stand out from the crowd ever since the company was founded. While his entrepreneurial base is in Europe, production takes place in selected manufactories in Central America. This international approach is a central element of his success.

Lampert Ocean Breeze: Boutique Cigars with a Salty Sea Note

The centerpiece of the Ocean Breeze presented here is the H-2000 wrapper from Ecuador, which is fermented near the ocean. The special climatic conditions—salty air, constant breezes, and intense sunlight—give the tobacco a character all its own. Indeed, a subtle salty note can be detected in these cigars, harmoniously blending with earthy and woody base aromas. Alongside this salty nuance, flavors of cocoa, earth, leather, and almonds can also be found. The binder also comes from Ecuador. The filler is a blend from Nicaragua, Peru, and another undisclosed country. The cigar is produced at Tabacos de Costa Rica.

H-2000 Wrapper from Ecuador Meets Filler from Nicaragua and Peru

Ocean Breeze is a series that conveys a sense of openness and coastal proximity not only through its name, but also through its flavor profile. For aficionados who are curious about unusual nuances, it offers an engaging experience with a clear unique selling point on the international cigar market. The Lampert Ocean Breeze cigars were imported in 2020 by our fellow retailer Jürgen Ring of the Crazy Store, who then handed over the import to us at the end of 2021. Thanks to increased volumes and the associated reduction in import costs, we were initially able to significantly lower the retail price for our customers, before having to raise it slightly again in 2024 due to galloping inflation and higher transport costs. Since 2024, these cigars from Costa Rica have been offered in bright blue boxes of ten, intended to evoke the blue of the sea.
