Lampert Ocean Breeze
The Ocean Breeze series by Lampert Zigarren began with just one format, the Robusto Grande, and has since expanded to three different vitolas due to high demand. Each cigar bears the signature of company founder Stefan Lampert, an Austrian native who registered his business in Liechtenstein. Lampert is considered one of the most exciting European boutique cigar makers of recent years. With a clear vision and a keen eye for quality, he has pursued the goal of creating distinctive cigar lines that stand out from the crowd since the company's inception. While the business is based in Europe, production takes place in selected factories across Central America. This international approach is a key part of his success.
Lampert Ocean Breeze: Boutique Cigars with a Salty Sea Note
The heart of the Ocean Breeze showcased here is the H-2000 wrapper from Ecuador, fermented near the ocean. The region’s unique climate – salty air, steady breezes, and intense sunlight – gives the tobacco its distinctive character. In fact, the cigars reveal a subtle salty note that blends harmoniously with earthy and woody base flavors. Alongside the salty touch, you’ll also find notes of cocoa, earth, leather, and almonds. The binder also comes from Ecuador. The filler is a blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua, Peru, and an undisclosed third country. The cigar is produced at Tabacos de Costa Rica.
H-2000 Wrapper from Ecuador Meets Filler from Nicaragua and Peru
Ocean Breeze is a series that not only evokes a coastal vibe through its name but also delivers it through its flavor profile. For aficionados seeking uncommon nuances, it offers a distinctive experience with a clear unique selling point in the international cigar market. The Lampert Ocean Breeze cigars were first imported in 2020 by our industry colleague Jürgen Ring from the Crazy Store, who handed over the import to us at the end of 2021. Thanks to increased volume and the resulting reduction in import costs, we were initially able to lower the retail price significantly. However, in 2024, rising inflation and higher shipping costs forced us to raise prices slightly again. Since 2024, these cigars from Costa Rica have been offered in vibrant blue boxes of 10, designed to evoke the color of the sea.
