At the beginning of 2022, we received a call from Liechtenstein asking whether we might be interested in the cigars from Lampert Cigars. At first, it seems a little unusual when someone from this small Alpine country calls to sell you cigars. As the conversation continued, it became clear that the founder, Stefan Lampert, is an Austrian who, for business reasons, has based his company in Liechtenstein. He is a qualified lawyer and a passionate aficionado who fulfilled a lifelong dream by founding his own cigar brand.

Lampert Cigars: An Austrian Dream Becomes a Global Cigar Brand

We then arranged a visit to our Cigarworld Lounge, where we sat together over one cigar or another and discussed what a cooperation might look like. The result was reached quickly: since the beginning of 2022, we have been importing an extensive range of his Lampert cigars as well as his two rum varieties, and we are happy to offer them to our customers and interested retail colleagues. Lampert Cigars was founded in 2018, and its cigars are now represented in around 15 countries, including the United States, the largest cigar market in the world. The My Cigar Lab cigars are produced in Costa Rica at Tabacos de Costa Rica.

From Lawyer to Cigar Manufacturer: The Success Story of Stefan Lampert and Lampert Cigars

One format, the Ocean Breeze cigar, was imported until the end of 2021 by our retail colleague Jürgen Ring. Thanks to reduced import prices resulting from increased volumes, we were able to significantly lower the retail price for our customers. cigars from Lampert Cigars are produced in Nicaragua (Series 1675), the Dominican Republic (Series 1593), and Costa Rica (the ones presented here). Each production site was selected with great care and stands out for its artisanal quality.
