Buena Vista Dark Fired Kentucky (Cigars)

The Buena Vista Araperique Cigars (also spelled Buenavista) have been available on the German market since 2013. They were the first longfillers rolled in the new, dedicated factory of Arnold André. In the meantime, cigarillos have also become available under this brand. What makes these cigars special is the Brazilian Arapiraca, or Araperique, which gives them a distinctive character.

At InterTabac 2017, the importer raised the bar once again by introducing a version with Dark Fired Kentucky in the filler. This American tobacco is cured over smoldering oak and hickory wood. It could also be described as smoked, as the tobacco develops very distinctive toasty-smoky aromas, giving all vitolas an excitingly different taste.

In addition to Kentucky, the filler consists of Dominican, Brazilian, and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The binder is a Sumatra from Brazil, while the wrapper is a Connecticut from Ecuador. The importer Arnold André Cigars also imports numerous other cigars from the Dominican Republic as well as additional Nicaraguan cigars, including, for example, a large portfolio of Joya de Nicaragua. In the latter case, it is all the more remarkable that the new Villiger tabacalera was built on the grounds of Joya de Nicaragua in Estelí.
