Dalay Artisan Series

The concept of individually painted box lids isn't entirely new; we've seen something similar with Davidoff and also with the Cigar Kings cigars. However, when it comes to cigars imported by the folks at Dalay Zigarren from Saarbrücken, it's highly likely that it's not just a simple "marketing thing."

The boxes of the Dalay Artisan Series were hand-painted by the artist Giomny Alonzo from the Dominican Republic. Originally, a series of 200 boxes were planned, but unfortunately, 170 boxes were destroyed due to significant water damage. The remaining 30 have now made their way to Germany, and we managed to secure 10 of them. To give the discerning connoisseur the opportunity to try the cigar without having to purchase an entire box, we "dissected" box number 10 and offer these cigars individually. The aficionado who acquires the last cigar or cigars from this box will receive the box as well...! :-)

The box lid (or just the lid) can then be skillfully framed and hung on the wall of the smoking room or the "Man's Cave." The robust yet harmonious blend of the Artisan Series in the classic Toro size, 6x52, makes the cigars smooth and rounded at the same time. Throughout the smoking experience, it remains smooth without becoming sharp or biting. The predominantly sweet impression evokes associations of forest berries, port wine, and preserved fruits. The filler consists of Dominican, Nicaraguan, US American, and Paraguayan tobaccos. The binder is also Dominican, while the H-2000 wrapper comes from Ecuador.
