Dalay Firecracker

Tobacco retailer colleague Salih Dalay from Saarbrücken, who is now also a colleague at Casa del Habano, began selling cigars under his own name a few years ago. Initially, these were fairly affordable and simply packaged cigars with minimal external impact. Around the year 2012, although I can't recall the exact year, he then revamped everything and introduced two completely new series: the Dalay Reserva Natural and the Dalay Reserva Maduro.

With new blends, a fresh appearance, and corresponding support on social media channels, these cigars have built a loyal following over the past years. Subsequently, a special format named Firecracker was introduced. The cigar presented here gets its name due to its unusual shape. With the long "tobacco tail" at the head, it resembles a firecracker, which is indeed the exact meaning in English.

All the tobaccos used for the filler, binder, and wrapper come from the Dominican Republic. The Firecracker cigar, like the other Dalay cigars, is manufactured by Tabacalera Victor Sinclair and their Master Blender José Dominguez. These are exceptionally strong cigars with a distinctive character—full-bodied, rich in flavor, yet without overwhelming the palate.
