Our highly esteemed retail partner Salih Dalay and his team from Dalay in Saarbrücken have once again unleashed their creativity by crafting this limited-edition cigar along with the matching brandy. The inspiration came from Seville, the capital of Andalusia and home of perennial Europa League champion FC Sevilla, who have won the trophy a total of seven times. In addition, the city is also known—as we now come to the actual subject—as the home of the former Real Fábrica de Tabacos de Sevilla and as the setting for Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen. In short, this multitude of inspirations could only lead to a unique cigar and its perfectly matched spirit.

Dalay Sevilla – Exclusive Cigars from the Dominican Republic

The Dalay Sevilla Robusto Especial was originally released as a limited edition in porcelain jars, which were produced in a single run. Given how well Salih’s cigars sell, writing up a product description was almost unnecessary! Anyway, each jar contained twenty cigars and the total production was limited to 360 jars. These 7,200 cigars featured a 54 ring gauge and a length of 5.625 inches, which is about 14.3 centimeters. Since November 2025, these cigars—now renamed “Robusto,” dropping the “Especial” designation—have only been available in wooden boxes, which allowed the price to be significantly reduced.

Spanish Influences: Dalay Sevilla Cigars

According to the tasting panel at Dalay, these slightly thicker Robustos offer a medium strength profile with notes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, and a dense, juicy honeyed sweetness. This completes the circle of flavor, as these attributes are also commonly and appreciatively found in brandies. Our recommendation: there is also a matching Sevilla Brandy to go with the Sevilla cigars – definitely worth a try!
