Davidoff Oro Blanco

In autumn 2024, we received the new version of the cigar originally created by Eladio Diaz in 2002: the Special Reserve 111 Years from Davidoff. This exceptional cigar is composed of extremely rare tobaccos with a combined aging of 111 years—not individually, but collectively. It is only the second vitola, or release, of the Oro Blanco cigars, the “White Gold.” Five different growing regions in the Dominican Republic contribute to this Dominican puro, which may only be rolled by Davidoff’s most experienced master rollers with at least 20 years of expertise. One of the tobaccos used has never before appeared in Davidoff cigars.

The flavor is a complex blend of caramel, fruit, and dark chocolate, making it an ideal companion to an aged cognac or armagnac. Both the single and the 10-count wooden boxes of the Oro Blanco embody pure understatement, especially when compared to some of the more extravagant limited editions from other manufacturers.

History of the Davidoff Oro Blanco 2002

In autumn 2014, we were first asked whether we would like to offer a very rare, highly limited, and equally expensive cigar from Davidoff. Of course, our initial reaction was yes—as an official Davidoff depositary, we should definitely carry such treasures. Then we heard the price… €500 per cigar is quite something, isn’t it?!

Davidoff Oro Blanco: The Ultimate Luxury Experience in the Cigar World

These cigars were rolled from tobaccos grown in a very small and exclusive cultivation area from the 2002 harvest, cultivated exclusively for this project. After 12 years of aging and, as expected from Davidoff, flawless craftsmanship, these ultra-rare cigars are now ready for truly special moments.

Pure Exclusivity: The Limited Release of the Davidoff Oro Blanco Cigar

Only 60 specialist retailers worldwide received these cigars, with just 9 allocations designated for Germany. In other words: only 135 (!) cigars of the Oro Blanco are available on the German market. This exclusive indulgence reached us shortly before Christmas 2014. Please understand that we will not be conducting a tasting for this cigar… ;-)
