Ferio Tego Summa

The Summa by Ferio Tego marks the first entirely new line from the two company founders Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott. This hand-rolled premium cigar from the Dominican Republic impresses with a well-balanced blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler and a Dominican Sumatra binder, finished with a fine Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper. With medium to medium-plus strength, the series delivers a creamy texture and a complex smoking profile that opens up a new dimension of Dominican cigar craftsmanship for aficionados. The name “Summa” can be loosely translated from Latin as “the highest” or “the sum”, reflecting the premium quality and ambition of the line.

Ferio Tego Summa – the Founders’ New Proprietary Line

In contrast to earlier lines based on the legacy brands of Nat Sherman, the Summa is a completely independent creation by the founders of Ferio Tego. Production takes place at the renowned Tabacalera Tabacos de Exportación of the Quesada family, known for its craftsmanship and excellent construction quality. The cigars are distinguished by finely nuanced aromas featuring notes of cocoa, mild espresso, roasted nuts, and a hint of cedarwood – a smoking experience that captivates both seasoned aficionados and newcomers alike. My test sample was a Toro, which brought me great enjoyment in the midday sun alongside a café.

Product Variants of the Summa Series

The Summa is currently available in two classic vitolas and comes either as single cigars or in elegant boxes of 10. The series covers different smoking durations, ensuring the right format for every preference. The Ferio Tego Summa cigars offer enjoyment at the highest level and are the ideal choice for cigar enthusiasts seeking artisanal precision, harmonious flavors, and a new, exciting line of Dominican cigars. In addition to the lines presented here, the Timeless Cigars and the Metropolitan Cigars were also launched in spring 2026 and brought to Germany by distributor Philipp Kugler through his company Cigarkings.
