Flores y Rodriguez Cabinet Seleccion Maduro

This cigar line is a collaboration between Abraham "Abe" Flores and the three Rodriguez brothers, who are behind Tabacalera Don Leoncio. Abe is a native US-American who moved to his relatives in the Dominican Republic at the age of three. His mother stayed in the USA, so he lived on his grandfather's farm and came into contact with agriculture, and to a small extent, tobacco cultivation. At the age of 15, he returned to the USA, where he eventually earned a degree in Marketing and began working in the IT industry.

This job led him to the internet cigar retailer Tinder Box, for which he opened a webshop and gradually got involved in the areas of purchasing and blending cigars. This eventually led him to open the Tabacalera PDR Cigars Factory in Tamboril in 2004. This region in the Dominican Republic is world-renowned and respected for its concentrated cigar manufacturing industry. Specifically, the factory is located in Tamboril, very close to the city of Santiago de los Caballeros in the Cibao Valley.

The Flores y Rodriguez Maduro Cabinet Seleccion are full-bodied, aromatic cigars wrapped in an oily-dark Maduro wrapper. The binder and filler of these long-fillers are also sourced from the Dominican Republic. They are complex cigars that unfold their full flavor spectrum until the last draw. The four formats are packaged in elegant, natural cabinet boxes of 25 pieces with a sliding lid, similar to the SLB boxes used by Cuban brands like Hoyo de Monterrey, for example.
