Marca Fina Dominicana

The brand Marca Fina started with the Panama variant in the mid-2000s. Initially, it was somewhat laughed at, but the presentation with the typical 16-bundle packs, without cellophane, and the claim of "single-origin long fillers" has proven to be quite successful.

According to the importer's statement, all variants are consistently crafted as Puros; this means that only tobaccos from the same country are used for the filler, binder, and wrapper. The formats of the Dominican series are rather mild, lightly aromatic cigars. With their fruity aroma, they are suitable for both connoisseurs and beginners.

This brand is produced by FTAC. This Federación de Tabaqueros America Central is a union of small tobacco farmers from various countries in Central America and the Caribbean. These small family-owned businesses from the poorest rural areas of Central America and the Caribbean have been cultivating high-quality tobacco on their plantations for decades, selling their harvest through tobacco markets and to major international tobacco companies at mostly very low prices. FTAC helps these families process a portion of their annual crop directly into cigars and then sell them themselves. For the farmers, this means significantly higher prices for their hard work, price stability, and a guaranteed purchase of their annual production. In countries without social and health insurance, this is an important step towards better living conditions.

FTAC ensures uniform quality standards through its monitoring bodies. It supervises the cultivation of tobacco, thus guaranteeing its special origin. All tobaccos undergo fermentation and aging processes lasting at least 2 years to fully develop their flavor. All cigars are handmade in Central America and the Caribbean. Their natural taste reflects the special origin of these tobaccos.
