VegaFina Classic

The cigars from Vegafina are the most popular non-Cuban brand on the Spanish market, which otherwise tends to favor more full-bodied cigars. This is especially remarkable given that the filler of this Dominican cigar was composed to be rather mild. It consists of Piloto and Olor varieties (both from the Dominican Republic), as well as a portion of tobacco from Colombia and some filler tobacco from Honduras. The binder is an Indonesian tobacco, complemented by a Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in Ecuador. These cigars have a mild and creamy taste.

Vegafina Clasica: Cigars from the Dominican Republic

These are mild to medium-bodied cigars that offer excellent craftsmanship at a fair price. The blend was created by José Seijas, the master blender of Tabacalera de Garcia, who retired in 2012. To this day, these vitolas are entirely hand-rolled from whole leaves in that factory. Shortly after retirement, José joined the cigar manufacturer Joya de Nicaragua, as he found retirement to be a bit too quiet! He is now back on the German and international markets with his own Matilde cigar brand.

Mild Cigars for Aficionados: The World of Vegafina

In addition to the regular series formats, special editions in vitolas that are not typically produced are released each year. Examples include the various Sumum editions or, since the retirement of José Seijas, the Master Blender Editions. Almost all Vegafina cigars are packed in high-quality boxes of 20 or 25. A few exceptions include the Minutos in Freshpack or the Half Coronas in a 4-pack. They are ideal for taking on vacation or as a handy reserve in the car.
