Woermann Cigars MF Red

These cigars, or their name MF Red (formerly Querida), emerged from an adventurous story. The importer, the company Wörmann Cigars, held the national distribution for cigars produced by Charles Fairmorn until 2010. This included brands like R.A. Villamil, Belmore, and also Quisqueya. After this distribution contract was terminated, Wörmann created a similar series to offer a comparable product: that became Querida.

Trademark issues subsequently led to Querida being renamed to the series "?" Question Marks, effectively without a name. Then, the final renaming to MF took place, which, contrary to what some might think, simply stands for Mediumfiller. The filler is from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, the binder is from Indonesia, and the wrapper is a US Connecticut Shade. As the series is manufactured in the Dominican Republic, this is registered as the country of origin here. Overall, it offers excellent tobacco qualities at an outstanding price.

Taste-wise, it's rather mild to balanced, with slightly succulent hints typical of Nicaragua. The series is already partially and will eventually be completely delivered WITHOUT cigar bands.
