Zino Nicaragua

The cigar brand Zino is a "side line" of the exclusive Davidoff cigars and has been internationally available under this name since the late 1980s. As at that time the Davidoffs were still coming from Cuba and therefore could not be sold in the USA, the Davidoff company created a cigar series from Honduras that was not subject to the trade embargo. These Zino Classic and Zino Mouton Cadet lines have been discontinued by now and are only available sporadically as remaining stock.
In 2021, Oettinger/Davidoff decided to revive the resonant and prestigious brand name Zino with a series from Nicaragua, aiming to elevate it to new heights. The Zino Nicaragua cigars are an intriguing blend with filler tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. The Nicaraguan binder and the Ecuadorian wrapper complete this medium-bodied blend. It offers distinct flavors of cedarwood, coffee, and fresh spices. The end result is characterized by intense Nicaraguan spice with an additional creaminess from the Dominican tobaccos.
Here are the blend details for you once again:
Filler: Olancho Visus, Jamastran Visus (Honduras), Ometepe Visus (Nicaragua), San Vicente Seco, San Vicente Mejorade Seco (Dominican Republic) Binder: Semilla Seco 56 from Nicaragua Wrapper: Connecticut Ecuador
They are available in three formats: a Short Torpedo, a Robusto, and a Toro. They come in both 25-count wooden boxes and 4-count Freshpacks. These Freshpacks are quite practical and keep their cigars perfectly conditioned and fresh for an extended period (Davidoff mentions several weeks outside the humidor). We recommend pairing them either traditionally with rum or, for a more innovative approach, with a malty craft beer.
