Guillermo Rico House Bundle

Guillermo Rico markets his cigars in the United States under the label Gran Habano. In Germany, however, this designation is not permitted, as the term is a protected designation of origin and may only be used if the tobacco actually comes from Cuba—which is clearly not the case here. For this reason, we consistently list the products in our assortment under the name Guillermo Rico Cigars. The already extensive portfolio was expanded in the summer of 2025 with the House Bundle cigars introduced here, which are deliberately not sold in boxes. This approach makes it possible to offer these premium cigars for well under ten euros—after all, who wants to smoke and pay for boxes?

Origin and Blend Structure of the House Bundles

The House Bundles are made with filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Colombia. The binder is also the same across all versions: Nicaraguan tobacco. The only difference between the two lines lies in the wrapper: a sun-grown Corojo from Nicaragua for the darker version, and a Connecticut Shade from Ecuador for the lighter one. That reminds me of a little story from September 2025. Like many other cigar producers, Guillermo’s son George visited us here in our Cigarworld Lounge in Düsseldorf after the Intertabac trade show in Dortmund. We had the chance to chat and discuss the distribution of his cigars in Germany. Until then, he had been represented by a small importer from Berlin who had caused discomfort among some aficionados due to his political views. That is now history: Since fall 2025, the Rico family has been distributing their cigars through the renowned importer Don Stefano based in Wettenberg, Hesse.

Formats of the Guillermo Rico House Bundle Cigars

The House Bundle Cigars are fairly priced, straightforward longfillers currently offered in four versions here in Germany. The classic Robusto (5x50) and the impressive Imperial in a gordo format (6x60) are each available in two wrapper options. In the United States, there are a total of four versions, but the German importer Don Stefano has initially selected the two most popular ones—with either a Corojo or a Connecticut wrapper. All versions are produced at the G.R. Tabacaleras Unidas S.A. factory in Honduras.
