Oscar Valladares Colaboraciones (Limited Edition)

The Oscar Valladares Colaboraciones Limited Edition brings together three distinct signatures from the international cigar world in a single series. For my personal taste, one particularly nice idea is that the three boxes, when placed together, form a complete image, with the company logo beautifully created by the three inside box lids. For the project unveiled in 2026, Oscar Valladares collaborated for the first time with partner manufacturers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua: Casa Carrillo and Tabolisa by Oliva. A third cigar comes from Valladares’ own factory in Honduras. All three are released as Toros in a 6 x 52 format and contain Honduran tobacco as a unifying element. Nevertheless, the blends differ significantly – and that is precisely what makes this limited series so appealing. Only 1,500 boxes of each version were produced, with 20 cigars per box.

Oscar Valladares Meets Casa Carrillo and Oliva

Oscar Valladares is known for unusual ideas and his distinctive approach to tobacco. After working with Rocky Patel, he founded his own factory in Danlí, Honduras, and attracted attention with cigars including The Leaf. With the Colaboraciones cigars, however, the focus is on the exchange between three manufacturers. Each factory was asked to contribute its own style and combine it with tobaccos from Honduras favored by Valladares. The background to the project is also interesting: Valladares previously produced the Short Run 2023 for Casa Carrillo, while Oliva produces, among others, the Allegiance for Casa Carrillo. Colaboraciones now brings these connections together in a joint project.

Three Limited Toro Cigars with Distinctive Blends

The Colaboraciones Casa Carrillo is made in the Dominican Republic. Its US Connecticut H. wrapper is paired with a Sumatra binder and filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua; it is rated medium to full in strength. The version rolled at Oliva’s Tabolisa in Nicaragua, by contrast, uses Cameroon tobacco for both the wrapper and binder, while Honduras and Nicaragua provide the filler – a medium-strength blend with a completely different tobacco composition. Finally, the Colaboraciones Oscar Valladares Tobacco is made in Danlí and remains particularly closely connected to its Honduran roots: the binder and filler come from Honduras, topped by an H. wrapper from Ecuador. Three manufacturers, three interpretations, and a shared Honduran connection make Colaboraciones an intriguing Limited Edition for aficionados who want to compare different blending styles side by side.
