Casa de Alegria Rico

Casa de Alegria (spanish for “House of Joy”) – are responsibly produced, premium hand made cigars from Nicaragua.

The company Casa de Alegria S.A. was established in Estelí, Nicaragua in October 2004. The Casa de Alegria initiative strives to produce excellent, reasonably priced premium cigars, with a special focus on social responsibility. After years of research we finally found the right suppliers for tobacco and decided on our favourite blends. In 2004 we began production of our favourite cigars!

The operations take place in a spacious, well aired and well-lit factory which is located in the suburbs of Estelí. Our “boncheros” and “rolleros” work within an almost familiar atmosphere and are paid well above average. In addition to that their wages do depend upon the quality achieved instead of sheer numbers. All these features underline the uniqueness of “Casa de Alegria” and ensure its superb quality and responsibility.

“Casa de Alegria” will never be distributed by large wholesalers who squeeze the margins.

Cigars fromCasa de Alegria are currently made in two different series "Rico" and "Suave".

The flavour-packed „Rico” with its wrapper and the mild and elegant “Suave” with a high-class Connecticut wrapper. Both are produced with an indonesian „capote“ and premium selected tobaccos from Nicaragua.
