Casa de Torres Edicion Famoso

The cigars presented in this section also come with a unique story that’s definitely worth telling. As the numbers suggest—or at least hint at—the three vitolas were limited editions, originally released in 2011, 2012, and 2013. The overwhelming success of these three formats led Senior Director Philip Schuster at the time to decide to turn them into the Casa de Torres Edition Famoso.

Limited Editions Until 2013: The Exclusive Origins of the Famoso Series

The limited editions released after 2013 can be found here under the category Casa de Torres Limited Edition Cigars. It’s worth noting, however, that none have been released since 2021. Since I personally had a bit of trouble sorting out the various series, I decided to quickly get in touch with Junior Director Martin Schuster by phone, who kindly walked me through the details. He explained that after the handover of company leadership from his father, there were still a few loose ends to tie up before new limited editions could be considered. That said, judging by Martin’s entrepreneurial drive and his motivation to innovate and create new things, I doubt we’ll have to wait much longer for more limited Casa de Torres Cigars.

100% Nicaraguan Tobacco: This Is What Casa de Torres Puros Taste Like

Casa de Torres Famoso cigars are made from 100% Nicaraguan tobacco. All three feature an especially dark, long-aged, and thoroughly fermented wrapper. As a result, these Nicaraguan puros are full-flavored, offering creamy and earthy notes, and impress with a natural, delicate sweetness. But where does the name Casa de Torres actually come from? In the 1990s, the Schuster family decided to become less dependent on external brands and began producing this cigar brand under their own label.
