The CIGARWORLD Ligero cigars presented here are high-quality cigars from Nicaragua, where quality was the top priority. Yes, true – we also believe that the German market already has more than enough cigar lines, especially since, unbelievably, new ones are still being added every week. Still, we decided to pursue this project, because by combining a first-class cigar manufacturer with direct importing, we’re able to offer excellent cigars at fair prices – like hardly any other retailer in Germany.

Ligero Cigars by CIGARWORLD: Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa

In this process, we deliberately chose to avoid coming up with any fanciful names. Like the Tabacalera, we believe that as much investment as possible should go into the tobacco and craftsmanship – instead of creating wooden art pieces or using cigar bands that look like photo wallpaper. So – who produces them? We chose Tabacalera PRODAP Cigars S.A. in northern Estelí, Nicaragua, which has been crafting premium cigars for various brands for many years. Their own flagship product is the Horacio Cigars, which we’ve been successfully selling in our shops for many years.

Same Wrapper, Different Filler: CIGARWORLD Ligero

By the end of the process, we had narrowed it down to three different blends – but there was no unanimous decision within the team. So what to do? We decided to take the simpler but also more exciting route in the long run – and ordered all three blends. The only difference between these three blends lies in the type of ligero used in the filler. We had never done this kind of cross-tasting before – “normally,” you’d change the wrapper and keep the blend the same. Each of these three cigars deserves to be tried. We’re very much looking forward to your feedback!
