Leonel White

Leonel Cigars are an in-house brand of the importer Paul Bugge, who is also a fellow specialist retailer based in Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg. His cigars are produced in both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The Leonel White Cigars featured here are all crafted with a so-called pigtail.

Filler from Nicaragua, Wrapper from Connecticut: The Leonel White Blend

The wrapper is artfully twisted at the ends of the cigars. This fully seals the cigars, allowing them to mature further. As always, the cut is made at the head of the cigar, while the foot is simply lit “closed.” This causes the initial puffs to be dominated by the wrapper’s flavor, gradually unfolding into the cigar’s “full” blend. This is not only a testament to the craftsmanship of the torcedores (cigar rollers) but also a distinctive flavor experience.

The tobaccos used for the filler and binder of the Leonel White are grown in Nicaragua (regions of Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega). The fairly light wrapper in the Colorado Claro shade is cultivated in Connecticut, USA. In terms of flavor, they develop a creamy and woody aroma with nutty notes.
