Perdomo Fresco Connecticut
The Perdomo Fresco Connecticut is aimed at aficionados looking for an uncomplicated yet high-quality cigar from Nicaragua. Like all series in the three Fresco lines, it is made entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos grown, cultivated, fermented, and rolled by the Perdomo family on their own farms. This consistent control over every step of production ensures remarkable consistency. Anyone wishing to discover the world of Perdomo cigars will find an accessible introduction here with excellent value for money.
Perdomo Fresco Connecticut: Family History and Tobacco Expertise
Behind the name Perdomo stand several generations of cigar-making tradition. The family's roots go back to the Cuban tobacco industry. Following the political upheavals in Cuba, the family emigrated to the United States and settled in Miami in the mid-1970s. Born in 1965, Nick Perdomo Jr. founded “Nick’s Cigar Company” there in 1992. What began in a garage developed into one of Nicaragua’s most important family-owned cigar manufacturers. Today, representatives of the fourth generation are already active in the company, including Nick’s son Nicholas III and his daughter Natalie Perdomo.
Mild Connecticut Cigars with a Creamy Character
The heart of the Perdomo Fresco Connecticut is a filler made from Nicaraguan tobaccos grown in the fertile regions around Estelí. The key difference compared to the Fresco Sun Grown and the Fresco Maduro, however, is the light-colored Connecticut Shade wrapper. It gives the cigars a particularly smooth profile with creamy notes, delicate roasted aromas, and a subtle sweetness. Fresco Connecticut cigars fall within the mild to light-medium-bodied range, making them suitable for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts seeking a balanced premium cigar for everyday enjoyment. Because the Perdomo family traditionally offers this series in bundles rather than elaborate wooden boxes, the price remains attractively affordable—without compromising craftsmanship or tobacco quality.
