Rocky Patel Year Of The

With Rocky Patel Year Of The, Rocky Patel dedicates a new cigar edition to the Chinese zodiac every year. Year of the Dragon 2024 was followed by Year of the Snake in 2025. These are not simply the same cigars with a different design: Each edition features its own independently developed blend. The elaborately designed cigar bands prominently feature the respective zodiac sign and emphasize the character of each release as a limited special edition. This makes the series particularly appealing to aficionados looking to discover distinctive cigars beyond the regular range.

Rocky Patel Cigars Under the Sign of the Zodiac

Rocky Patel is one of the established names in the international cigar world. A significant part of the portfolio is produced in Central America, with tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras regularly playing an important role. For the Year-of-the series, the blends are even tailored to individual markets. Year of the Dragon 2024 was released in versions for the US and international markets as well as for duty-free retail. For its successor, Year of the Snake 2025, Rocky Patel distinguishes between a US version and an International Exclusive. According to the manufacturer, the latter was designed as a medium-bodied cigar, while the American version is said to range from medium- to full-bodied.

Year of the Dragon and Year of the Snake by Rocky Patel

Since 2024, the range has included the Year of the Dragon 2024 Robusto, measuring 13.97 cm in length and 1.98 cm in diameter and available exclusively from us in packs of five, as well as the longer Year of the Dragon Toro, measuring 16.51 cm in length with the same diameter. In 2025, the Year of the Snake Toro was launched – it is also 16.51 cm long, but at 2.06 cm has a larger ring gauge. For the international Snake version, Rocky Patel combines a dark H-2000 Oscuro wrapper from Nicaragua with a Nicaraguan Broadleaf binder and filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. Over the course of the smoke, the cigar develops a medium- to fuller-bodied character with earthy and roasted notes, pepper, wood and a shifting sweetness that can be reminiscent of cocoa or dried fruit.
