West Tampa Sampler

With the West Tampa White, Black, and Red, the West Tampa Tobacco Company already offers three premium cigars that cover distinct flavor profiles while sharing a common signature style. All vitolas are handcrafted in Nicaragua and stand for meticulous construction, well-balanced blends, and a consistently smooth smoking experience. The practical Toro Sampler in a Freshpack is ideal for discovering the brand's core lines or comparing their individual characteristics side by side. The White is the most approachable, the Black delivers greater intensity, and the Red rounds out the range with a distinctive San Andrés wrapper. The naming convention is somewhat reminiscent of the Macanudo Inspirado series or even our own La Chaveta brand. So who took inspiration from whom? Then again, naming cigar lines after colors is hardly the most unusual idea.

West Tampa Cigars – Rick Rodriguez's Vision of a Modern Classic Series

The series was created by master blender Rick Rodriguez, who founded his own brand after spending decades in the cigar industry, including with CAO Cigars. West Tampa pays tribute to Tampa, Florida's rich cigar-making heritage while combining it with a modern interpretation of Nicaraguan premium cigars. While the White and Black share the same core blend with an Ecuador Habano wrapper and differ primarily in the selection of wrapper leaf, the Red sets itself apart with a distinctive Mexican San Andrés wrapper. All three lines are produced by Garmendia Cigars in Estelí, demonstrating just how differently similar tobacco compositions can develop.

West Tampa Toro Sampler – Three Blends Compared Side by Side

The Freshpack includes two West Tampa White Toro cigars, offering a creamy smoke with delicate wood notes and subtle spice for an especially balanced profile. The West Tampa Black Toro is aimed at smokers who prefer a bolder flavor experience with more roasted notes, earth, and pepper. Also included are two West Tampa Red Toro cigars, whose San Andrés wrapper delivers spicy depth complemented by notes of cocoa, espresso, and subtle sweetness. This sampler provides a comprehensive introduction to all three lines and is a practical way for both curious newcomers and experienced aficionados to discover the signature style of the West Tampa Tobacco Company.
