Barling Trafalgar

The name Barling has been associated with the finest pipes and excellent quality for centuries. It was in 1812 when Benjamin Barling first opened his workshop in London as a silversmith. Meerschaum pipes and pre-rolled briar heads from Saint Claude were refined with elaborate silverwork.

In 1906 they started making briar pipes themselves. Barling pipes enjoyed an excellent reputation around the world until the 1970s. Old barlings are traded at the highest prices.

At some point it became quiet about the brand until it was lifted out of its slumber again this year by the Kopp-Pfeifen company. Although the pipes no longer come from England (there was no producer), they still have the remarkably high quality standards.

The wood quality is excellent, the shapes classic. The 9mm mouthpiece is made of contemporary acrylic, and the "hammered look" appliqué is made of sterling silver.

We currently count the Barlings among the highest quality series pipes on the market.
