Stanwell 9mm Filters

The Stanwell 9 mm Activated Carbon Filters are back! With the relaunch of its tried-and-tested pipe filters, the traditional Danish brand continues a legacy spanning several decades. One of their most distinctive features is the low draw resistance, which has long made these filters popular among pipe smokers. The absorbent filter paper captures moisture, while the activated carbon traps components of the smoke. At the same time, the tobacco flavours remain clearly perceptible. The new filters feature a striking green paper sleeve and two ceramic caps, each with seven openings.

Stanwell Pipe Filters: Danish Tradition Meets Bavarian Manufacturing

Stanwell is one of the best-known names in Danish pipe culture. After production of the original activated carbon filters was discontinued in 2022, their fate appeared to be sealed by the end of 2023. Scandinavian Tobacco Group's decision at the time to withdraw from the filter business meant that, for a while, only remaining stocks were available. Now, this classic is making a comeback. The green paper sleeves, ceramic caps and packaging for the relaunched filters are produced by Kopp Filters in Bavaria.

Stanwell Activated Carbon Filters in a Pack of 50

The new Stanwell Pipe Filters in a pack of 50 retain the proven design with ceramic caps at both ends. Since each cap has seven openings, the filters can be inserted either way round. The ceramic caps regulate airflow, while the absorbent filter paper captures excess moisture. The most important feature, however, remains the draw: The relaunched filters are designed to deliver the same pleasantly low draw resistance as the original Stanwell filters. The green paper sleeve gives them a distinctive appearance. Anyone familiar with the original Stanwell activated carbon filters who appreciates their characteristics will find the same familiar design in a fresh new look.
