In 2004, a small cigar manufactory was founded in Estelí, the Nicaraguan center of cigar production, under the direction of German founder Ralf Westerwick. Originally from Gummersbach in the Bergisches Land, between Wuppertal and Siegen, Westerwick has always been drawn to faraway places. He has a special connection to Cigarworld through his shared university days with our managing director. Rosa Nicaragua is built on this partnership: Casa de Alegría manufactures the cigars, while Cigarworld regularly purchases a fixed quantity.
