Rosa Nicaragua Jalapa

For a quick smoke in between, the Rosa Nicaragua brand is an excellent choice. As an affordable alternative to the long filler series, the cigars from the Serie Jalapa impress with a blend of house-made medium filler tobaccos, refined with an Indonesian binder and wrapper. These cigars from Nicaragua are mildly aromatic and feature a subtle, natural sweetness — thanks to the selected wrapper leaf.

Rosa Nicaragua Jalapa – Cigars from Central America

The Rosa Nicaragua Jalapa series is the “classic” and for a long time even the only line of the brand. Only later were the Esteli and Connecticut series added. These cigars are crafted in a small, distinguished manufactory in Estelí, Nicaragua. With a current production volume of around 8,000 cigars per month, the experienced torcedores can give each cigar their full attention.

A particularly interesting format is the 460, which, despite its compact length of just 4 inches and a 60 ring gauge, offers plenty of tobacco and a subtly sweet, mild smoking experience. It thus belongs to the group known as NUB. However, the bestseller of this series is the larger Toro — a format characterized by an exceptionally balanced price-to-performance ratio.

Joint Project of Friends: Rosa Nicaragua and Cigarworld

The owner of Tabacalera Casa de Alegria, Ralf Westerwick, has been a long-time friend of Cigarworld. The connection goes back to a joint postgraduate program with our managing director from 2002 to 2004 — where the idea was born to develop a private label in Nicaragua. This was preceded by mixed experiences with various manufacturers in Estelí. After several on-site visits, a partnership agreement was finally reached: Casa de Alegria has handled production ever since, while Cigarworld guarantees a stable sales channel with reliable purchase quantities. This collaboration continues to run smoothly to this day — not least thanks to the consistently high production quality.
