Dan Tobacco Michael Apitz

Michael Apitz is almost a legend in the german pipe scene.

First and foremost, he was the driving force behind Dan Pipe in Lauenburg, working in the shop every day, selling pipes and tobacco, and inviting customers to join him for a cup of coffee on the corner bench.

He has since moved his activities to Oliver Fries’ shop in Geesthacht.

But he is also an important inspirer, idea generator and tobacco developer for Dan Tobacco (DTM). His favourite blends are summarised in the "Michael Apitz" series.

They correspond predominantly to his own preference for round, palatable and sweet tobaccos, and are pretty much among the best tobaccos you can smoke as a friend of flavoured pipe tobaccos.
