Marca Fina Cigarillos
This small, machine-made cigarillo is made with 100% tobaccos from Panama. With a length of 8.9 centimeters and a diameter of only 0.8 centimeters, it is perfect for a quick smoke break. Despite its short length, it is pleasantly mild and smooth in smoke.
Interesting facts about Marca Fina
Importer Darier & Cleef initially introduced the Balboa cigar series to the German market at the beginning of this millennium. Due to trademark issues, they were forced to rename this series to Colon (Columbus).
After a few years, the Marca Fina brand was launched. Initially, they started with cigars from Panama, and later, series from Honduras and the Dominican Republic were added. The last additions were products from Nicaragua and Brazil.
The manufacturer of these affordable cigars is the FTAC (Federación de Tabaqueros America Central), a union of small tobacco farmers from the poorest rural areas of Central America. These small family businesses were able to process their harvest into cigars directly through the cooperative, rather than selling it to wholesalers. For the farmers, this not only resulted in significantly higher yields but also provided price stability, which in turn led to significantly improved living conditions.
The FTAC regularly monitors the cultivation of the tobaccos and guarantees, for example, that all tobaccos ferment and age for at least 24 months before being processed. All cigars are completely "hecho a mano" (handmade).
