Brun del Ré Bicentenario

This cigar brand is, alongside the cigars from Vegas de Santiago, the most well-known from Costa Rica. Interestingly, both were initiated by Swiss families who emigrated there. Fittingly, Costa Rica is often referred to as the Switzerland of Central America – so it all comes full circle!

Brun del Ré offers a variety of flavor profiles, ranging from milder to full-bodied cigars, appealing to a wide range of preferences. The Brun del Ré Bicentenario described here were blended by Carlo Corazza to mark the two-hundredth anniversary of Costa Rica’s independence. This Independence Day is celebrated annually on September 15. The significance of this day for the small Central American country is reflected in the elaborate and artistic presentation of both the cigar and its boxes. The filler tobaccos come from Costa Rica and Nicaragua, with the binder also sourced from Costa Rica. For the wrapper, Carlo chose a Connecticut leaf from Ecuador. The entire blend is medium-bodied and well-balanced, making it suitable for a broad audience of aficionados. You can view the full selection of Brun del Ré cigars here!
