Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva (before: Classic)

This is the traditional, classic series from the house of Fuente. A highly aromatic blend of Dominican tobaccos in the filler, crowned with an original African wrapper from Cameroon. Originally equipped with a light Connecticut wrapper, Carlos Fuente Jr. (Carlito) personally made the decision in the 1990s to use the spicier, fuller wrapper from Central Africa. In his opinion, it harmonizes much better with the blend of fillers. All Fuentes are, by Dominican standards, rather rich and characterful cigars, mainly due to the use of at least four different tobacco varieties in the filler. This creates an incredible range of flavors.

In this regard, the Fuentes benefited from their personal and close connections to the Meerapfel family, who are the main suppliers of this specific wrapper worldwide. These leaves are quite rare because the political conditions in the best cultivation region, the Central African Republic, are unstable, making long-term planning and orderly tobacco cultivation almost impossible.

Since 1912, the Fuente family, led by its patriarch Carlos Fuente (which is why the short, stout cigar is called "Don Carlos"), has been producing cigars. The Fuentes are renowned globally for their outstanding quality and pioneering spirit in the field of tobacco cultivation and processing. Arturo Fuente is the most popular brand in the American market. In particular, the rarely available Hemingway series and the Opus X have brought legendary fame to this brand.
