Ashton ESG (Estate Sun Grown)

The Ashton brand was founded in 1985 by the American Robert Levin. Since then, these cigars have been produced in the world-renowned Arturo Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic by the most experienced torcedores (cigar rollers), totalmente a mano—completely handmade. Ashton cigars are among the great classics of cigars from the Dominican Republic. Today, there are also other lines produced by Don Pepin Garcia in Nicaragua. Here you will find an overview of all products and Ashton cigars.

Ashton Cigars: Dominican Excellence by Arturo Fuente

To mark Ashton’s 20th anniversary, Robert Levin and Carlos Fuente Jr. (Carlito) jointly developed the Ashton ESG (Estate Sun Grown). The series was launched in 2005 and expanded annually with an additional format until 2009. To date, these five formats have been released:

  • 20 Year Salute (Churchill)
  • 21 Year Salute (Robusto)
  • 22 Year Salute (Figurado)
  • 23 Year Salute (Toro)
  • 24 Years Salute (Perfecto)

The finest and richest tobaccos of the Dominican Republic are used for the filler and binder, giving Ashton its unique complexity. These premium cigars are completed with a unique silky, oily wrapper from the Chateau de la Fuente plantation. This leaf has not been used for any other cigar! Due to the limited production of the tobaccos used in these spectacular cigars, their availability is highly restricted.

Ashton ESG: Limited Premium Cigars for the Anniversary

In terms of flavor, the ESG clearly surpasses the other series. It offers a full and complex aroma, rounded off by the Sun Grown wrapper. A must for aficionados who prefer rich and complex cigars! Ashton is a name derived from the renowned British pipe maker William Ashton Taylor. Today, it is synonymous with excellent tobacco products. In England, he is known for his outstanding pipes; later, this sonorous name was successfully transferred to the tobacco of the same name and subsequently used for premium cigars. The name Ashton thus stands as a synonym for perfect quality in every aspect of the tobacco world.
