The American Robert Levin founded the Ashton brand in 1985. Since then, they have been produced totalmente a mano (completely by hand) by the most skilled torcedores (rollers) at the highly renowned Arturo Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic.
The finest and richest tobaccos from the Dominican Republic are used for the filler and binder, giving Ashton its unique complexity. These premium cigars are finished with a silky yet oily Connecticut Shade wrapper, which imparts the Classic's distinct mild aroma. The result is a perfect balance of complexity and character, offering flavors ranging from delicate and creamy to nutty, with a medium-bodied strength.
The name "Ashton" was derived from the famous pipe maker William Ashton Taylor, known for producing excellent pipes in England. Given the resonance of this name in the tobacco industry, already successfully used for the eponymous tobacco, it was a natural choice to use it for top-quality cigars as well. Thus, the name "Ashton" guarantees impeccable quality in all aspects of the tobacco world.
In addition to the Classic series, Ashton also offers the Maduro, VSG, ESG, and Cabinet lines.
