Capadura Cigars
These cigars are produced in the small factory Don Esteban in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Our relationship with this tabacalera has grown over the last 20 years, as we have been working with the owner and manager, Oskar Nausch, for quite some time. Interestingly, he is originally from Wuppertal, so he's practically from "around the corner" from us, and he emigrated there a long time ago. He has now become a prominent figure in the industry and supplies several customers, mainly in Switzerland and Austria, with brands like Samana, Cibao, many private labels, and these Capadura cigars.
Since these Capadura cigars are already well-established and selling excellently in other markets, Oskar asked us to introduce and distribute these lines in Germany as well. We gladly complied and have included these lines in our portfolio since June 2021.
The filler consists of Dominican Piloto and Mata Norte from Brazil. The binder also comes from the island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic) and is complemented with an oily, dark wrapper from Ecuador (Cameroon Seed).
This results in a full-bodied, slightly chocolatey "rich" flavor with a medium-strength aroma. We are always excited about how Brazilian tobaccos positively influence the taste of cigars (for us).
