Davidoff Royal
These cigars—apart from the Davidoff Oro Blanco—are the finest and most exclusive Davidoff cigars offered by this renowned manufacturer. The first release appeared as early as 2008; these are no longer produced and have been replaced by the Davidoff Royal Release 2016. As before, there are only two vitolas, currently presented in elegant, blue-lacquered boxes of 10 cigars.
Davidoff Royal Release: A Class of Its Own in the Cigar World
The story begins with the fact that the tobacco used is grown and harvested completely separately from all other tobaccos. The subsequent fermentation takes place at particularly low temperatures and reduced humidity. All tobaccos used are aged for at least eight years. The binder, known as Aromatica Dominicana, is reserved exclusively for the production of Davidoff Royal Release cigars. Only four master torcedores with at least 15 years of experience are permitted to craft these exceptional cigars. The royal blue lacquered boxes feature a removable cedar wood tray. Each box was previously hand-signed by the “big boss” Hendrik Kelner and the two torcedores who rolled the cigars. Since his retirement in 2020, only the two rollers sign them—but this in no way affects the quality!
Elegance and Excellence: Davidoff Royal Release Cigars
You can taste the extensively aged Ligero tobaccos, which develop cedar notes and a rich, spicy character. Additional leathery and floral notes accompany the silky smoke. A remarkably harmonious blend with an intriguing spicy edge.
