Kristoff Kristania

The cigar brand Kristoff was not named after anyone or anything in particular; the founder and owner, Glen Case, simply found the sound and appearance of this name appealing and fitting. At least, that's what he explained to us at the IPCPR in Las Vegas when we were preparing for the initial import of these cigars to Germany. Originally, in 2012, we directly imported four series of Kristoff ourselves, making them exclusive.

In April 2015, the distributor Kleinlagel from Bruchsal took over the now more well-known cigar brand and has been selling it nationwide ever since. We're perfectly fine with that: on the one hand, we feel validated that we had a good instinct back then. On the other hand, why should we aficionados, who are unfamiliar with these really good cigars, be deprived of them?

The Kristoff Kristania are Glen Case's most affordable cigars; available in four formats in the USA, initially only one format made it across the pond, the Gordo with its mighty dimensions of 5.5 x 60. A Nicaraguan Criollo is used as the wrapper, while the binder and filler are entirely composed of Dominican Sun Grown. In terms of flavor, these cigars lean towards coffee, vanilla, and cocoa. Additional vitolas have since been added.

Even though this series hasn't been around for very long, it is considered one of the classic lines, all packaged in natural wooden boxes of 20 and rolled at Charles Fairmorn in the Dominican Republic. Some new series, such as the Kristoff Galerones, are produced by Abe Flores in his Tabacalera PDR Cigars, which also produces cigars like Gurkha Ghost and Viaje.
