Kristoff Ligero Maduro

Glen Case's cigars are generally known for their smooth, creamy smoke, which left us amazed even during our initial tastings. The Ligero Maduro from Kristoff is the strongest line from this house, and by the way, they are manufactured at the Charles Fairmorn factory in the Dominican Republic. Apart from the series produced there, there are others that are rolled at the PDR factory by Abe Flores. Examples of these are the DR4 and Ceniza de Plata from the Galerones line.

The wrapper of the cigar presented here is a thick, heavy, and very dark, oily leaf from Brazil. As a binder (capote), a robust Dominican leaf is used, which wraps around a filler blend of Honduran and Dominican tobaccos—what more could the eye and nose desire?!

In addition to the already full flavors of the "regular" Ligero, this one also offers more distinct notes of dark chocolate, dark fruits, and forest berries. For a Maduro, it's quite strong, very complex. More suited for cold winter evenings by the fireplace, rather than a light summer smoke in between; it demands concentration and attention.

Initially, in 2012, we imported only the Robusto, with the possibility of introducing more vitolas later on. The cigars from Kristoff performed so well overall that in the summer of 2015, the renowned importer Kleinlagel from Bruchsal took on distribution for Germany, and as a result, significantly expanded the portfolio as well.
