Timeless Prestige
The Timeless Prestige by Ferio Tego is a handcrafted premium cigar from the Dominican Republic, featuring a complex blend of six carefully selected tobaccos from three countries. A Honduran Colorado Maduro wrapper surrounds a Dominican binder and a filler composed of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos – the result is a full-bodied yet balanced and complex smoking experience with notes of wood, earth, espresso, and spice that unfolds harmoniously from the first to the final third. The series is aimed at aficionados who appreciate a more intense, nuanced profile beyond classic Connecticut cigars, especially in comparison to the milder Timeless Sterling Cigars. The Prestige Cigars are also produced at the Tabacalera Tabacos de Exportación of the Quesada family. There are two additional lines within the Timeless Cigars range, the Panamericana and the Supreme. These are crafted by the Plasencia family in Nicaragua and have not yet made their way to Germany. Perhaps the German importer, Cigarkings from Munich, will change that soon!
Background & Character: Timeless Class With New Complexity
Like the Sterling line, the Timeless Prestige traces its roots back to the legacy of the legendary Timeless Collection from the former Nat Sherman portfolio. The Nat Sherman Townhouse was a long-standing cigar store in New York City, acquired in 2017 by the (cigarette) corporation Altria and completely closed two years later, as the company decided to fully part ways with “old” and “burning” tobacco. In 2019, former Nat Sherman executives Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott repurchased the brands and founded Ferio Tego as a distribution organization. The Latin name roughly translates to “to strike, to hit” and “to protect, to defend.” They continued these classic blends under their own banner – with the ambition of combining tradition with modern complexity. The Timeless Prestige Cigars stand for a more intense flavor experience. Strength can be described as medium to full-bodied, with a balance that appeals equally to seasoned connoisseurs and curious fans of cigars from the Dominican Republic.
Vitolas & Refinement: Variety for Every Preference
The Timeless Prestige is available in numerous classic as well as innovative formats and comes packaged in boxes of 20. The range extends from the No. 2 Figurado to larger ring gauges, accommodating different smoking durations and intensity preferences. Depending on the vitola, subtle variations in the flavor profile emerge. As always, the rule applies: with the same tobacco composition, thicker and longer formats tend to be milder and smoother. In addition to the Timeless Cigars, the two Metropolitan cigar lines as well as the Ferio Tego Summa also originate from the same company.
