Timeless Panamericana

The Timeless Panamericana is one of the fuller-bodied lines within the Timeless Collection by Ferio Tego. The cigars are made in Nicaragua by the Plasencia family. The blend combines an Ecuadorian wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Costa Rica. This clearly sets the Panamericana apart from the Dominican-influenced Timeless Sterling and Prestige, which are made by Quesada. Currently, the Timeless Panamericana Magnum is the only vitola from this series available in Germany.

Timeless Panamericana: From the Nat Sherman Townhouse to Ferio Tego

The history of the Panamericana dates back to 2014. The blend was initially released exclusively for the famous Nat Sherman International Townhouse in New York. A year later, the series became available to members of the American Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), followed by a wider release from 2018 onwards. After Nat Sherman ceased operating as an independent company, former Nat Sherman employees Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott acquired the corresponding trademark rights and continued the line under their company Ferio Tego. Since 2021, the Panamericana has once again been produced in Nicaragua.

Timeless Panamericana Magnum: Toro With a 50 Ring Gauge

The Panamericana Magnum currently available at Cigarworld measures 6 inches with a ring gauge of 50, making it a classic Toro. This vitola joined the series in 2024 and is offered in boxes of 10. Ferio Tego describes the Panamericana as a full-bodied blend, with the Nicaraguan and Costa Rican filler tobaccos combining with the Ecuador Sumatra wrapper to create a bolder Central American character. Internationally, the series now includes several additional vitolas. Whether any of these will eventually make their way to Germany remains to be seen. My test cigar was aromatic and spicy, although I still wouldn’t describe it as strong. It was a thoroughly enjoyable smoke well past the band and eventually ended up as a tiny stub (“NUB”) in the ashtray. The importer, incidentally, is Philipp Kugler of Cigarkings.
