Villiger 1492 Cigars

These cigars were known as "Hommage 1492" until the year 2014, when they underwent a relaunch with the new name "Villiger 1492." In this context, the blend was also adjusted and optimized.

The production facilities are located in the Dominican Republic. Their filler consists entirely of Dominican tobaccos, which are complemented by an Indonesian binder. Interestingly, a Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador is used. In terms of strength, they are mild to medium-bodied and offer a very smooth smoke. With their light, aromatic, and subtly nutty flavors, they entice both beginners and more experienced aficionados.

Initially, the cigars were named "Hommage 1492," and later they were renamed to "Villiger 1492 Exquisitos." However, the reason for removing the word "Exquisitos" could not be determined - in any case, the cigars are now simply known as "Villiger 1492." In recent years, it seems that Villiger has focused on corporate identity and emphasized the family name more prominently. Another example is the "Villiger San Doro," introduced in the summer of 2015, which you can find in three different variants in our shop.
