What makes the Brick House Connecticut, first released in October 2017, so special is the double Connecticut leaf used to roll the cigars. The visible wrapper is a US Connecticut Shade, while the binder beneath it is a Connecticut Broadleaf, also grown in the USA. These US tobaccos are normally reserved for significantly more expensive cigars. Given the affordable price of Brick House Connecticut cigars, it is quite remarkable that Newman uses two genuine US-grown Connecticut leaves here! The filler consists entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Brick House Connecticut by J.C. Newman

Cigars were originally sold under the Brick House label as early as the 1930s. After a long absence from the market, they were relaunched in 2009 by cigar producer J.C. Newman—actually short for Julius Caesar!—and sold with great success. The MMM (Mighty Mighty Maduro), for example, has achieved cult status among certain groups of aficionados and, thanks in part to its highly attractive price, has effectively become the go-to everyday cigar for entire clubs.

Brick House Cigars: Also Available as Maduro and Classic

Creamy, sweet roasted aromas are clearly noticeable in the Brick House Connecticut, making these “stogies” a recommendation for an earlier smoke or as an after-dinner treat for fans of uncomplicated and gentler cigars. The three vitolas offer significantly milder aromas than the “classic” Brick House Classic, although they cannot be described as entirely mild. Those who love dark wrappers will be delighted with the Maduro version of Brick House.
